Paul Aitchison asked:

Have you heard of the latest craze to get the best gas mileage from your car or truck, its called “Hypermiling”? To be a hypermiler involves the use of any tip or trick, (and sometimes even a complete change in driving style) to squeeze every last MPG out of your vehicle. And not surprisingly with the ever-increasing gas prices, it’s catching on in a big way. Hpermilers have certainly been the subject of discussion in car and driver forums across the Internet, and they have had a fair amount of publicity in the media. So is this Hypermiling a new idea to get gas mileage improvements, or is it just a re-hash of all the old tricks for saving on gas we have all heard before.

The idea of water fuel car seems impossible and it is true. Water-to-gas converters do not replace gasoline as a fuel source, but supplement it. More importantly, it is not the water that is being used as fuel; it is the hydrogen in the water. The FDA rates hydrogen a “clean-burning” fuel. However, hydrogen bound to water molecules won’t burn at all. To turn it into a fuel, the hydrogen needs to be separated. This process produces Brown’s gas, a mixture of both oxygen and hydrogen in gaseous form. The gas is fed into the carburetor where it is mixed with the gasoline, and then fed into the engine. The car still runs on gasoline, but the added boost given by the hydrogen provides numerous benefits.

First, gas mileage improves. Adding hydrogen to the mix means that less gas is required, and so the gasoline lasts longer. The gains that have been reported generally range from 50% to 100%, with some individuals reporting as much as a 250% increase. The supplemental system is quite inexpensive; therefore it will not cut into your savings. Second, burning regular gasoline produces many pollutants. Burning Brown’s gas produces just water and oxygen.

That means that the vehicle’s emissions are diluted by the Brown’s gas, and overall the car produces fewer pollutants too. The system will keep your engine cleaner by reducing the amount of dirty petroleum products moving through it. Because cars that run on water are environmentally friendly, there may be tax breaks for you at the local, state, or federal level. You can save yourself money while feeling good about what you are doing for the environment by using a water-to-gas conversion system. For a relatively small investment, you will see years of financial returns and a real boost to your environment!

Water - the Solution to Save Money on High Gas Prices

Mico C asked:

Filling up your gas tank is fast becoming a financially frustrating task. With gas prices increasing more than ever, we often wonder if there is another way we can use as fuel. The answer is yes, water.

A great alternative is to convert your car into a water-burning hybrid. You might be thinking that this might involve a high price tag and advance knowledge, but a great water conversion kit can actually be bought with a budget of less than $150 (including a simplified do-it-yourself guide and materials from your local hardware store).

How does it Work?

A water-burning hybrid car will allow you to use of water as a supplement to gasoline. This means you will be using two types of fuel to run your car. Electricity is used from your car’s battery to transform water into a gas called HHO(also known as Brown’s Gas). HHO burns smoothly and provides a significant amount of energy to power your car.

Benefits of running your car with Water

Save Money - An obvious benefit. Transforming your car into a water-burning hybrid means it will not depend solely on gasoline but also the HHO gas to use as fuel. This will significantly reduce your gas costs and save you hundreds each month.

Double your Car’s Mileage - A water-burning hybrid allows you to fill your tank less but receive more. The HHO Gas will be used in conjunction with the gasoline to power your car. Very little water can produce huge amounts of HHO gas to be used as fuel. Your vehicle will also use two forms of energy instead of one, increasing your car’s mileage.

Environment Friendly - Not only will you be saving money, but you will also be saving the environment. Using less gasoline on your vehicle reduces the emissions it produces, also after HHO is used it converts back to water which means fewer greenhouse gases and a healthier planet.

With these ridiculously high gas prices staying steadily increasing, it is definitely worth investing on a water-conversion kit. Turn your vehicle into a water-burning hybrid and see yourself smiling for the first time filling up your gas tank.

Run your car on water and start saving an average of $110 a month, while having increased mileage & an environment friendly vehicle. Stop wasting money on gas!

Pressure on Govt on Gas Pricing

More trouble is brewing for the next round of exploration acreage auction, with more companies and investment bankers expressing nervousness over political pressure on the government to renege on contractual commitment to allow market-pricing of oil/gas from new finds.

The latest to join the chorus on the issue is British major BP (formerly British Petroleum). The TOI had on July 10 first reported that Chevron, Niko, BG (British Gas) and Hardy had written to the government expressing apprehensions over the government reneging on the terms of contracts due to political interference. Such views among global majors will hit efforts to attract investments during the coming auction.

In a letter to oil minister Murli Deora, BP’s India head Ashok K Jhawar says, “Were the government to consider the reintroduction of some form of administered pricing for natural gas, we would be concerned since, as a long-term investor in India, of primary importance to us is fiscal stability for the life of our contract”.

“Subsidies in energy pricing should come at the consumer end, not at the exploration end, otherwise experience shows that countries which set an unrealistic well head price of gas suffer from lack of exploration and development since investment tend to flow to higher-price locations.”

Even investment bankers are getting jittery over demands from Andhra CM YSR Reddy and state-owned entities that will require the government to renege on contractual commitments. ” Investor nervousness increases when government arms like NTPC and a chief minister, who is from the same party ruling the Centre, challenge existing law and policies,” a Singapore-based investment banker said on condition of anonymity.

Though oil/gas is a Central subject, Reddy has rejected market-pricing for gas from Reliance Industries’ find off his state’s shores and is pressuring the PM for preferential pricing and first right of use. NTPC, which has dragged Reliance to court on the liability clause of a gas sale agreement, is also asking the government to take its share of profit in kind. A panel of secretaries is now grappling to form a gas pricing policy, which could undo the benefits of auctioning acreages.

“Investors are not worried about court battles. But when ruling party voices oppose a policy (acreage auction) that had been put in place by Parliament and received wide support from parties that rule today as well as those in the opposition, it signals a politically risky situation to be pumping money,” the investment banker said.

There could be a relatively simple answer to the problem of rising gas prices. Apparently there is a way to supplement gas-powered cars using a fuel known as browns gas. As I understand it browns gas is basically hydrogen and is created by using water and electricity. The reaction for anyone interested is 2H2O + electricity = 2H + 2O. The browns gas is then mixed with the gasoline in your engine to greatly improve efficiency. The electricity apparently can come from the battery of your car. I don’t understand all the technical details but it has gotten me very interested and should many others. Apparently any car can be converted to burn both fuels. If everyone had their vehicle converted to be able to burn browns gas along with gasoline the resulting increase in fuel efficiency would mean less demand on oil and the price of oil and gasoline would drop. And since converted vehicles would also burn less gasoline the savings everyone’s fuel costs would plummet. An additional benefit would be cleaner burning cars since browns gas only produces water as a product of combustion. I’m not sure about the costs of actually having cars converted. To me the environmental benefits along with the long-term savings would be worth it even if it were expensive to convert my own car.

Gas Price Saving Tips

Steve Evans asked:

It’s only reasonable to cut down on the amount of gas you use since the gas prices aren’t as low as they were in the past. Many people are ignorant of the simple and painless methods used to save gas. By linking up with appropriate sources like Gas Buddy before buying gas you are sure to get gas at favourable rates.

Gas buddy is actually a website where records of prices from gas stations nationwide are kept. You can find the most economical stations in any city.

Maybe you’re of the opinion that it won’t make a difference when you save 25 cents every time you buy a gallon of gas but it will, at the long run. Also, it’s important to keep your car properly maintained, if you really want to save gas. To get your car running efficiently, always keep the engine tuned and don’t ignore it when there is a need for oil and air filter change. Every time you maintain your car you are actually saving gas.

The third tip to saving gas is — don’t use the vehicle air conditioning too much. If it is always on when you are driving then you will never be able to effectively save gas, as a lot of gas is used up when the air conditioner is on.

Make use of it only when it is compulsory; for instance when the weather isn’t favorable. The technology of water cars also saves gas effectively.

Since you can set it up on your own, it’s an easy method of saving gas. You need to be sure about this technology by digging deeper and discovering facts that will help you save cost.

Gaining information won’t pose a problem if you visit the appropriate online sites.

But be careful not to rely on any information that suggests you run your car on 100% water. To own this type of complicated technology, you will spend a lot of your money, and you still won’t be 100% certain of its workability.

Save on Gas Prices- Ride a Motorcycle

Michelle Morton asked:

There is no doubt about the fact that gas prices are going up-and fast. Unfortunately, the cost of gas is one of those things that the little people can’t do anything about, short of voting the right people into and out of government seats. Even that is a slow process, and change is not certain; for this reason, people must take control of their own finances and their own gas use and find more affordable ways of getting around. For some people, this is public transportation; for others, it is carpooling. For an ever increasing number of people out there, that affordable method of transportation is a motorcycle.

The cost of gas prices is more than some people can handle; those with the right weather and the right type of driver’s license can easily hop on their bike and cut the cost of transportation down by more than sixty percent with some bikes, the type of savings that more people wish they could be part of.

If you don’t have a bike, you might want to consider looking into one. If you don’t have the appropriate license to operate a motorcycle, taking the necessary classes and paying the necessary fees can certainly pay off; in this case it is sooner rather than later.

When it comes to riding a motorcycle to save money on gas, there are some exceptions to this rule. Obviously a family of four is not going to be able to get around on a motorcycle, and that may not be the best way of transporting your little one back and forth to daycare. Outside of such instances, so long as you are being safe, doing things legally, and exercising caution on the roads, riding a motorcycle is a fabulous way of saving some money on gas and having some fun at the same time.

If you are one of those people who crave the thrill of the open road and the wind in your face and you are sick of the ever increasing cost of commuting, invest in a motorcycle! Sure, there may be some days where you won’t be able to ride your bike, whether it is due to family obligations or weather issues, but the fact remains that the difference between 50 dollars to fill up and 15 dollars to fill up is too good to pass up. Fight back against the increasing cost of fuel and add your two cents into saving the environment-ride a motorcycle!

Worried the cost of motorcycle insurance might outweigh the savings? Think again. You can find competitive insurance motorcycle quotes all in one website. Go to www.insurancemotorcyclequote.com for your next bike quote.

Why are Gas Prices so High and What You Can Do?

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Mark Myers asked:

Gasoline prices are getting completely out of hand recently. We do have options. Agreed, some will be roughly equal to the horse pulling the train backwards, however some are useful. None are simple, but the more we can do together, the more we will accomplish.

Why are gas prices so high? The obvious answer is supply and demand. Supply is not increasing because of international pressure for gasoline as fast as demand is increasing. Unfortunately the time of cheap fossil fuels and gas are leaving us forever.

America has declined to produce and refine more oil. The reasons are up to speculation. Everyone knows that oil drilling and new refineries will have an environmental impact; however the impact on the “3 day frozen tulip” has to be equaled with the impact to our economy. Most Americans feel the anguish every time they go to the gas pumps. This is senseless. The USA has the resources to reduce its dependence on foreign oil, but will not use them.

What can you do about high gas prices? Call every politician you can find a phone number for. Demand they explain exactly why gas prices are so high. Ask them why the US hasn’t constructed a new refinery in 30 years. Ask them why they don’t support drilling in ANWR. Short of drilling for oil in your yard, this is the only thing you can do to affect supply.

So, why are oil prices so high? You can personally effect demand. Only 20-30 years ago operating a car required more than just turning a key and driving. You had to check your oil every week. You had to change your own flat tire. You didn’t have cruise for instance. You had to adjust the choke. The point is, nothing of value is free, the medium of exchange here is doing something you don’t currently do now.

What does that have to do with high gas prices? Just trying to get you prepared for how you can double your gas mileage. You can wait for car manufacturers to develop alternative energy vehicles, and keep paying insane fuel prices, or you can do something NOW.

Alternative energy is not new. Humanity has been exploiting nature for energy since recorded time. Think whale blubber, oxen, horses, wood, sailboats, wind mills, hot springs, fire, and water mills. But history need not repeat itself, for personal locomotion these all are best left in the past, especially when you already own a at least one vehicle.

It is now possible to burn hydrogen gas extracted from water, on on demand, mix it with gasoline, ignite it in your engine, and save money on fuel. You can build a contraption from commonplace items for under $60 that will accomplish this. It will take you a late evening with simple tools to build, and under an hour to install it. The rub is, you will have to maintain it, which will probably take up to 30 minutes per month. Are you willing to give up your time to save between $1 - $1.50 on every gallon of gas you buy?

Why are gas prices so high? They don’t have to be.

Something to Think About With Gas Prices at $4.00 a Gallon

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Sy asked:

This is something that has been on my mind for quite sometime, and now that gas prices have risen to almost $4.00 a gallon I feel the need to speak on a few things. First and foremost the U.S. Government is not going to stop the oil industry from continuing to legally gouge us. The same way they are doing with the major drug companies gouging us on prescription cost.

It is time that we as citizens take an active roll in getting some sort of financial relief. The only way to do that is to take control of the economy ourselves thru entrepreneurialism. It is a shame that we sit back and look at the economy dwindle to the point wear we as American citizens have to have a part time job, just to earn enough money to get gas to go to our full time job.

It is also sad that we as Americans do not take the time to think of ingenious ways to support each other in entrepreneurial efforts. This does not apply to everyone but to quite a few. We will take a joke, prayers, porno and everything else you could possibly imagine and pass it along as a forward to everyone in our email address book, but we won’t dare even look at a business opportunity.

I understand this in totality, because just like you I have been in the same shoes. When if ever, will we change? Will we see that maybe this may be a blessing as opposed to a curse? When if ever, will we come out of financial bondage if we do not take steps to gain financial independence? These are the question I ask myself on a daily basis, only to hear the same people who are complaining about the gas prices and health care cost soar, do nothing to change their situations

Change will not occur unless you put into motion a positive action. About 3 weeks ago I saw a youtube video about the movie titled “Pay It Forward”. (You can see this by going to youtube.com and putting Pay It Forward in the search box) The whole premise of the movie is to help 3 people who are in dire need of help, and for them not to be allowed to pay you back. They in turn have to find three people, and help them just as they were help by you.

The only way to overcome the oil company gouging is to be in a position where it doesn’t matter how much they charge for a gallon of gas because at whatever cost you will be able to afford it. You don’t hear the wealthy complaining of the gas a health care cost. Why? Simply because it is not and issue due to the fact that they can afford it. The simply answer is, position yourself in the economy where you can afford it.

I don’t care whether you are an Amway, Mary Kay, Avon, or whatever home based business you may be involved in. Leverage yourself into a position to be independent enough to grow as large as you want to be. People talk about all of the above MLM companies and call them pyramid schemes and plenty of other names. The one thing that all of these companies / pyramid schemes have in common are that they do not determine your earning potential you do. When you are hired at a particular job, from the very first day all the way up to the day you retire, your wages and life style has been determined for you. The sad part of this is that you think that you have really done something special by getting that good paying job.

In essence you have. Please do not get me wrong or be offended by my past remarks, but when you look at it in retrospect if you put as much effort into building your own as you put into building someone else’s, imagine how much different your life would be.

I am encouraging everyone that reads this article to step out on faith and to do something different for yourself, and your families. I am “Paying This Forward” to you and in sincere hope, that you pay it this forward to someone you know by telling others about this concept.

We the independent business people are the true economic stimulus package. The one time payment the Government is offering is a joke compared to receiving your stimulus money by being independent. This is just something to think about!

For all that are sincerely interested in a home based business that only cost $10.00 a month to start, operate and maintain, contact me at irvinyoung@entreprenuerz.ws or go to http://entreprenuerz.ws. This may be the opportunity someone has long been waiting for.

Lobbyists and the Gas Price Problem

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Amy Hansen asked:

The high price of gas is on everyone’s mind. On May 10, 2006, the price of crude rose $1.19 to settle at $73.72 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. This has many people wondering how high gas prices will go and what is behind the continued rise.

The price of gas is linked to the price of oil. This cost can be determined by a ratio of 2.1 cents for every dollar a barrel of oil costs. With current refining and distribution costs and federal and state taxes, even if oil were free, gas would cost about $1.00 per gallon. Add that to the ratio calculated price of gas, which is $1.55 at the current price of oil, and you get $2.55 per gallon. This is an underestimate of the average national price of gas today, May 12, which is $2.93 per gallon.

Big business has a lot of buying power in Washington. The top ten oil companies reported spending $33,173,092 lobbying Congress and the Executive branches in 2005. Members of the Senate, Commerce and Transportation committee received the most money, $155,450. They were followed by the House Energy and Commerce Committee at $153,050. The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee received $139,600. The oil lobby has been buying policy in Washington for years. In 1999, the Senate voted to allow the oil industry to continue its policy of not paying royalties owed to American taxpayers for drilling on public and Native American lands. This allowed big oil companies to avoid paying $66 million in royalty payments annually.

Some consumer organizations refer to the oil companies as a cartel. Most products follow the law of supply and demand. Consumer groups accuse oil companies of reducing supply and demanding more money. Oil companies have an incentive to produce less. Only about 10% of gas retailers are independently owned and the rest are distributors for the oil companies. This allows them to easily manipulate the spot market for gasoline.

Big oil companies have shut down 25 refineries in California alone since 1983. They blame this on environmental groups and regulations. This is not the case. They don’t want to build new refineries because that would increase supply and lower the cost of gas. There are no plans to build more refineries and there will not be because of this. As an example, in April of 2005, President Bush announced a plan that would make closed military bases available for the construction of refineries. To date, not a single company has taken President Bush up on his offer.

Let’s talk about another lobby that pedals influence in Washington. The ethanol lobby has spent a lot of money. The owners of the 4 million flexible fuel trucks that could use 85% ethanol fuel (E85) know that their vehicles use 30% more fuel on E85 than gasoline, so most choose gasoline. Since 1978, the government has given many tax incentives and subsidies to promote the ethanol industry. Despite the lobbyists’ claims, ethanol has not reduced our dependence on foreign oil or helped reduce pollution. If an alternative energy source is competitive, it will not need subsidies. If it needs subsidies, it is not more affordable.

One company that learned a lesson about the power of lobbyists back in 1992 is Ethos, the manufacturer of Ethos Fuel Reformulator (Ethos FR). Mr. Enrique De Vilmorin, the president of Ethos, approached the EPA with the idea of using Ethos FR to reduce emissions. He got the cold shoulder. “We spent time chasing politicians down, but we found out they don’t spend much money. All they want is your money,” he said. He also stated that Archer Daniels Midland Co. spent more than $50 million getting bio-diesel approved for use. AMD just happens to be the largest producer of ethanol. Some researchers have even called ethanol’s value a hoax. Senator Dianne Feinstein has asked state and federal EPA’s to investigate the use of ethanol blended gasoline following the continued increase in smog in Los Angeles after the introduction of this fuel.

Tax breaks, incentives, and subsidies are not the answer to high gas prices. When the price of gas rises, industry will be motivated to research alternative fuels. Japanese cars are so fuel efficient because the price of gas in Japan has been close to $5 per gallon for a long time. Unfortunately, big business has done a lot to slow our progress toward better fuel efficiency and a solution to pollution problems.

Run Your Car on Water to Combat High Gas Prices

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Arthur Maxwell asked:

The increase in gas prices has recently made headline news all over the world: The average price of gas has risen to US$4 per gallon! This shocking figure has made consumers all around the globe worry about how it will affect their daily lifestyles, and seek ways to switch to cheaper forms of transportation. What is worse is that some experts even predict that the price will continue to increase within the next year or so. As a result, there is a drastic increase in the number of people looking for alternative ways to manage the high gas prices that prevail. Fortunately, cutting edge technology has allowed us to do just that. Today, you can actually run your car on water to combat high gas prices!

Most people may wonder, “Run my car on water? Is that even possible? Won’t it rust the insides of my tank?”

Well, running a car on water involves using a device or conversion kit to convert water into HHO, or Brown gas. During combustion of HHO, oxygen and water are produced as by-products. Not only is this technique environmentally friendly, but it also produces more energy than the regular diesel or petrol one would commonly use. As such, running a vehicle on water helps to increase its mileage as well as ensure that it is burnt cleanly.

This efficient method of using water to replace most of the gas in your car will also mean massive savings for you. Comparing the large difference in price between gas fuels today with that of water, which only costs a couple of cents per liter, you will find that this technique will solve most of your financial problems relating to gas prices. This method is cheap, easy to use, and can be done within your own back yard.

Converting water to HHO for combustion requires a conversion kit. This does not necessarily mean the high-tech, state of the art equipment that you have to purchase at branded stores. In fact, you can construct it with materials from your local DIY store. This technology has been designed such that it can be constructed cheaply using materials under $100, and will not affect the car’s main engine design.

Also, what you need to understand is that such a method has to work together with a sufficient amount gas involved. Presently, there is no technology that allows us to run our vehicles purely on water. However, reducing the reliance on gas by using water already produces many benefits, such as halving the amount of money spent on gas.

Thus, rest assured that such technology and methods will indeed improve the way the car works, as better mileage and a greener environment is achieved. Many have already succeeded in exploiting this system, so do not be left behind in this race for greater savings today. If you wish to make more than 50% worth of fuel savings each month, then run your car on water immediately to combat those high gas prices now!
